| In Feburary 2003, I purchased a unique property on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Echo Park in Los Angeles. The home is a multi-use property which means it has a commercial building in front and a residential building in the back. I live in the back house and I'm currently transforming the commercial space into Echo Curio, the Echo Park Curiosity Shop and Art Gallery. We will hopefully be opening sometime in September 2006. The house was really beat up when I moved in. It's had many tenents over the last 15 years and as many as 12 people living were said to be living there at once. (amazing considering this is a two bedroom, one bath home.) Fixing up this property ate away my time and made it difficult to maintain a healthy diet of studio time. I thought I would include some photos of the property and a few before and after shots for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! |
